Your target audience is interested in your expertise, they just don’t know it yet. They also most likely have 10-30 minutes a week to listen, so give them something to hear.
Great content isn’t always the best produced, but it has insight that reaches and targets your audience.
The easiest way to build your podcast and content is through an interview format. Maybe it’s an interview of experts at your business (A16Z does this very well), a panel interview with the same two to three people, or, my favorite, a chance to give new perspectives to your audience by interviewing people outside of your company.
This all works if you are a B2C, B2B, or even B2B2C company. In fact, I’m not sure why we haven’t seen a podcast with a chef dining with guests, or a podcast with a personal trainer interviewing people during a workout. If these exist, please, send them my way.
Long newsletter short—your unique value is you and your company’s point of view on the world. You should share that.
If you have buyers, you have an audience. They probably already like you, so let them hear you. Let your personality and expertise shine through.
Task: Who are 5 potential guests you would like to learn from to have on your podcast?
