Taste, spice, and everything nice. Pretty Bird is the restaurant passion project of celebrity Chef Viet Pham. Known for precision and superb flavor, Pretty Bird is the definition of clucking good food. However, in order to meet their business objectives and support their desire for expansion, Pretty Bird needed to find the depth in their brand, learn to express their meaning, and update their public presence, from their website to social media. In the end, we developed a brand that felt fun, dynamic, and, most assuredly, different from the rest of the coop.

We discovered the perception of Pretty Bird was surrounded with optimism, comfort, and fun. The brand was approachable, though it didn’t feel that way to all. As a chef-owned and led dining experience, there was an aspect of exclusivity that needed to be overcome. We needed to strike a balance between the food destination seekers and the everyday meal enthusiasts. Therefore, we worked to display the brand’s relevance through a true and visible story. In the end, Pretty Bird expanded into a brand that is seen as not just a place for the “foodies”, it’s also for the families and the individuals who seek good food with a delicious yet simple ability to choose how they would like to enjoy their hot (or not) chicken delight.

Though Pretty Bird is about precision and chef-like technique in its kitchen, the brand is a far cry from a beak’s up, pinky’s up establishment. Through the use of raucous and playful messaging, Pretty Bird has endless moments to poke fun and create fun for all who come across their brand.
