Creating content that is worth paying attention to is very, very hard, and podcasting is no different. Starting your own podcast isn’t just about having good content, it’s signaling to buyers, industry peers, and others that you know what you’re talking about.
We began our podcast, By Subject, last year, and it’s required more than a strategic amount of blood, sweat, and tears. However, the yield of our labor of love goes beyond whether anyone actually listens to it or not.
Our podcast gives us written content for our website because it’s imbued with the right or relevant combination of keywords you might be looking for.
It also gives us relevant and unique content to post on social platforms every two weeks because the podcast is an ongoing project that gives us fresh material and shows us off a little.
It gives us a reason to reach out to past and potential clients, which leads to an opportunity to work together or collaborate.
And it gives us a boost because our guests have a chance to share our podcast and conversation with their network.
These are just some of the things that happen when you start a podcast, so you really should start one. Reach out if you need help, we can show you the ropes!
(It takes work, but it’s worth it.)
